PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICALS

KNOX Laboratory has added physicals to its line-up of pre-employment screening services. Consider the costs of hiring new people, training them, and the length of time for them to become competent in the tasks required.  Therefore, it is in the company's best interest to make the relationship between the employee and itself a long one.

Pre-employment physicals are an important part of the screening process because of the tremendous role that this information plays in the medical management of the employee's working life with the company.  This physical will be the foundation for a number of prevention procedures that will help to insure the long lasting relationship with the organizational structure once the job offer has been accepted and the employee becomes part of the team.

The second aspect that the information gathered in a pre-employment physical can be applied to is an educational process for individuals that lets them accept a responsibility for that particular situation.  This aspect is also important because it allows the individuals into the system with a positive recommendation for hire.

A third aspect for this information would be that of post-injury evaluation.  Things such as tendonitis, arm pain, and upper or lower back pain, are complaints that will surface before they have progressed to a serious pathological  condition.  This is where the educational phase begins to show its importance.

Scheduling a Pre-Employment Physical

Pre-employment physicals may be scheduled Monday through Friday during laboratory hours of 8 am to 5 pm.  Physicals usually take one hour and the results will be made available to an organization's designated contact within an hour of completion.

If pre-employment physicals are required for employment in your organization, the physicals may be customized for the essential functions of a specific job description.  This ensures the individual is physically capable and conditioned to the job they were hired to do.
